The October month long campaign has ended, but you can still make your charitable donation anytime throughout the year. All donations received up to December 31st will be included in this year's canvas. After January 1st the funds will be held and added to the 2026 fall canvas. Charitable tax receipts are issued when the funds are received. Every dollar designated to the charity of choice is remitted to that charity, Funds from 2025 charity will be released in January 2026. Even with the postal disruption are campaign was very successful, thank you to everyone who shared the information, a total of $8260 has been donated and will be distributed to the thirteen member charities. Your donations are greatly appreiciated and used to benefit all of us. You can find the donation form on our website or drop off your donation at Sunrise Credit Union, Reston Branch.

hello everyone, we are half way through our fall canvass, but you can donate any time that is more convenient to you. Blank donation sheets are available at the credit credit, and several businesses in town, or you can print it from this webpage. The mail is moving again so you can mail your donation or drop off at the credit union. Charitable tax receipts are issued for your total donation and funds will be dispersed to the the charity of your choice mid January. Reston and District United Appeal has been serving our communities for 52 years. thank you to all our current and past board members and our terrific communities for all the support. It is very much appreciated by all the member charities.

At the September 22, 2025, annual general meeting the following motion was approved: e-transfer payments will be accepted for 2025 canvas. Charitable tax receipts would be issued to the donator ONLY if all the required CRA information was included in the message within the etransfer, full name, complete address, phone number, date. If complete information is not included, the e-transfer will be rejected and returned to donator through the banking system. Should the donator fail to designate selected charities to receive funds, the total donation would be dispersed evenly to the current list of member charities.

Expectations of the Representatives of Registered Charities

1. Attend all meetings or appoint an alternate to attend.
2. Submit one time $50.00 (fifty dollars) membership fee to join our organization. Must include charity information, legal address of charity, designated representative, their legal and mailing address, telephone number.
3. Provide collaboration with other representatives for upcoming canvass, held annually in October.
4. It is expected that each charity representative will rotate through the executive positions, to relieve volunteers who have fulfilled their terms of office. With a 15 member board, this means taking a position every 4 years.
5. All constructive comments are welcomed and shared at the directors and annual meetings held the same evening in September.
