TSA Mat Group

09/14/2026

The TSA Mat Group is back for another year of creating bedmats for third world counties, and countries affected by weather events. The mats are sent overseas to wherever they are needed. If you are looking for something creative to try, the Group meets Wednesday afternoons at 1pm downstairs in Stewart Hall, at Trinity-St. Andrew's United, 291 Plaunt St. S. No experience necessary - our dedicated volunteers are always ready to help!
We are - as always - accepting milk bags (the outer coloured ones) for weaving or crocheting into mats. These can be dropped off a the Church, in a bin near the TSA Thrift Shop, and can be donated during Shop Hours. Please enter via the Quarry Ave. entrance.

We are occasionally asked where the completed sleeping mats go.... we have dedicated volunteers who transport the mats to Mississauga, where they are dropped off to Canadian Food for Children, and then the mats are shipped overseas to where they are needed the most.
