It is time to renew the subscriptions for 2027. The subscription form is in your mailboxes at the church or in the bulletin email, for the Daily Bread, Rejoice, & Canadian Mennonite. Please complete the form, with subscription fee, & give it to Lynanne, or put in the offering box by Nov 16. The Canadian Mennonite will come to your home mailbox every other week or get it online.

MCC Sask Peace Conference; Sat Nov 7; 9-4:30. MCC in partnership with the office of the Treaty Commissioner, invite you to join us for the Peace Conference. The theme is: The grass is still growing: returning to the spirit & intent of Treaty. Treaty is an important framework for building peace in our province. To mark the 150th anniversary of Treaty 6, this year’s Peace Conference presents a special partnership with the Office of the Treaty Commissioner. We will take a close look into the original meaning & covenantal intentions of Treaty, & explore the implications of living as Treaty people in Saskatchewan today. Witness Worker Report: Sook Kyoung and Bock Ki have had some good times to be with pastor couples from within Mennonite Church South Korea. They get together every 3 months for sharing and support. Bock Ki is also pleased that the restorative justice facilitation training that is done through the Chuncheon Community Peace Centre has found its way into two congregations both in Jeju and in Nonsan. So, two more centres are being established that are connected to the Mennonite churches in those areas.

Bock Ki has been working with Mennonite Church South Korea leadership on new pastor training. Like the membership classes that they do, this pastor training is very comprehensive and done over a long period of time.
Bock Ki mentioned Anabaptist History, Biblical Interpretation, and Anabaptist/Mennonite pastoral ministry. These new pastors are very needed in the MCSK network.
May we continue to pray and support them as we see how we can connect more closely with our family of faith in South Korea.

Lynanne will be on vacation from Tues Oct 13- Fri, Oct 16.

Sept 30th Is "National Truth & Reconciliation Day"
In our desire for God’s shalom,
we choose to embrace all who inhabit our common home.
At the same time, we are confronted with hard truths rooted in broken histories.
We acknowledge that “we are related to the earth and all its many creatures with inseparable lines of connection,”
but those relationships are fragile.
We acknowledge that “we are gathering today
on the traditional territory of Indigenous peoples.”
For settlers and newcomers, worshiping here comes with “specific responsibilities in the journey of reconciliation with the Indigenous hosts on this land.” Shalom is no small task. We humbly acknowledge that Grace Mennonite church finds its home in the traditional lands of the Cree, Saulteaux, & Métis nations who have lived here for thousands of years before we arrived,
whose culture and wisdom we have too often ignored or hidden We celebrate the courage of people who are now declaring their Indigenous heritage ... insight gathered over thousands of years of living in recognition of their relationship with all your Creation, artistic skills passed down from generation to generation,
family and clan systems that give a deep sense of belonging. We commit to respectfully listening and learning from our Indigenous neighbors as we travel the path of reconciliation We recommit ourselves to God’s vision of shalom
for our common home and for all who inhabit it.

Thanksgiving Food Drive: We will be collecting donations for the Food Bank. Pease bring your donations: Sun, Oct 11. The baskets will be at the front of the church. We will have a time during the service where you can bring your gifts forward. We give because so much has been given to us and we are thankful.
