An exciting day for URBSA!

Today, we had the honour of welcoming His Excellency Md. Jashim Uddin, High Commissioner of Bangladesh, along with Mr. Shakhaowat Hossain, First Secretary (Commercial) and Mr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, First Secretary & Head of Chancery, and other respected officials from the High Commission for the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Ottawa, at the University of Regina.

The meeting brought together URBSA officials, students, university representatives, and officials from the Ministry of Trade, Saskatchewan. It was a meaningful discussion where we shared URBSA’s activities, student experiences, and community expectations, especially regarding enhanced consular services in Saskatchewan and opportunities for skilled Bangladeshis in Canada’s in-demand sectors.

His Excellency appreciated URBSA’s initiatives and highlighted that Bangladeshi students are true ambassadors of Bangladesh, promoting our culture, tradition, and history globally 🇧🇩

We look forward to continued collaboration and support in the days ahead. Thank you who joined today within such a short notice, your support is highly appreciated.

To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable celebration for everyone, please follow these guidelines:

✅ DO’s
• 🇧🇩 Display the Bangladesh flag properly on your vehicle
• 🚗 Arrive on time and follow the rally schedule
• 🛣️ Follow all traffic rules and signals
• 👮 Respect instructions from organizers and authorities
• 🤝 Maintain discipline and cooperation throughout the event
• 📢 Celebrate with positive energy and respect for the community
• 🅿️ Park only in designated areas

❌ DON’Ts
• 🚫 No unnecessary honking
• 🚫 No littering – keep the environment clean
• 🚫 No rough, reckless, or impaired driving
• 🚫 No public nuisance or disruptive behavior
• 🚫 No blocking of emergency routes or traffic

Hello Regina!

On behalf of the URBSA, I just want to say a big “thank you” for joining us, motivating us, and collaborating with us at Bangladeshi Night: Bangladesh Beyond Border, truly. What we prepared together over the last two months was something special, something I will personally never forget. From late-night planning to the final moments on stage, every bit of effort, energy, and heart you all brought made this event what it was.

The executive team gave it their all, our anchors, performers and volunteers pushed beyond limits, and the audience filled the space with smiles and love. No words feel enough, but please know this: without your participation, your encouragement, and your positive energy, none of this would have been possible.
