Well here we are, almost at the end of summer, which means we are almost at the start of our new season, one that will once again feature a mix of great Canadian talent – the next generation. All concerts are at Darke Hall. Single tickets, full subscriptions, and combo packs are now on sale. Details follow-

🍁RMC 2026/27 SEASON
The season kicks off on Sunday, September 13th at 3:00 pm with the two-piano and piano-duet ensemble, Duo Octavian. Carson Becke and Suren Barry who promise to draw the listener into their musical world, seeking to expand the piano duo repertoire with their own arrangements, and with arrangements and commissions by other performers and composers.
On Friday, November 20th at 7:30 pm, we will be presenting the winner of the 2026 Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition, coloratura soprano and violinist, Aemilia Moser. She is known for her dynamic stage presence, strong musicianship, and commitment to contemporary music.
On Sunday, January 3rd at 3 pm we will be featuring our Recital Competition Winner. This year’s winner is clarinetist, Marco Ding. Marco gave a wonderful and engaging taste at the competition of what he will perform for us in January. We would like to thank Harvard Media who again generously sponsored the event this year.
On Sunday, February 7th at 3 pm we will be presenting the alternative early music group, Ménestrel. Made up of Janelle Lucyk (soprano), Kerry Bursey (tenor, guitar and lute) and Vincent Lauzer (recorder), the group has established a reputation for combining ancient repertoire with elements of folk song.
On Sunday, March 7th at 3 pm, we will welcome violinist Vanessa Marcoux and pianist Marie-Christine Poirierwho as Duo Cordelia will take us into an unexpected musical landscape, where classical compositions mingle with fresh repertoire, playful improvisation, and unconventional technique.
We will close our season on Saturday, April 3rd at 3 pm with the 2025 Honens International Piano Competition Silver Laureate, Carter Johnson. Carter is celebrated for his warm stage presence, compelling musical personality, and cutting edge programming. His playing has been described as “sincere, communicative, and intelligent” and “drop-dead gorgeous”.
Tickets continue to be free for University of Regina students and those under 18.
