🌟 Meet James 🌟

James has been part of the Hope’s Home family since 2022 and has made incredible progress during his time with us. James lives with Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, seizures, and an Intellectual and Developmental Disability.

Over the years, James has grown in so many ways, from building confidence with eating and daily routines to developing strong friendships with his peers. Though non-verbal, he has recently begun using picture communication to express his needs, an exciting milestone in his journey.

Known for his bright personality and infectious smile, James loves musical toys, spinning, jumping on the trampoline, and sharing laughter with those around him.

“Hope’s Home is more than just a daycare — it’s a family. For James, Hope’s Home is not just a daycare — it’s a second home.” 💛 – Molly Hoeving

We are proud to recognize the incredible Nutritional Specialists who play such an important role in supporting children and families at Hope’s Home every day. 💙

Our Nutritional Specialists help ensure children of all abilities receive nourishing meals and snacks that support their growth, health, and unique dietary needs. Through their care, attention, and dedication, they create positive mealtime experiences that help children feel included, supported, and cared for.

From preparing specialized meals to working closely with staff and families, their impact is felt throughout every centre and home. They help children build confidence around food, support healthy development, and bring comfort and consistency to each day.

Because of the work they do, families can feel reassured knowing their child’s nutritional needs are being met with compassion and expertise, helping inclusive care come to life in meaningful ways every day.

We are deeply grateful for the kindness, hard work, and commitment they bring to their roles. 💙

🍪💙 What an incredible week of community support! 💙🍪

Together, thanks to everyone who purchased a Smile Cookie, an amazing $91,754 was raised in support of Hope’s Home.

We are so grateful to every person who bought a cookie, shared our campaign, volunteered their time, or helped spread the word. Thank you to the incredible Tim Hortons teams, volunteers, staff, and community members who made this fundraiser such a huge success.

Funds raised through this campaign will help Hope’s Home continue providing medically inclusive child care and support for children with complex medical needs, giving families access to care, inclusion, and opportunities to thrive.

Thank you for supporting Hope's Home.

Did you know that May is Leave a Legacy Month in Canada?

Every year, people across the country take this opportunity to consider the impact they want to create in the world, both during and beyond their lifetime. The most common type of legacy gift is a bequest, or a gift in your Will that is designated to a specific charity and realized after your passing.

You may be surprised to learn that creating a bequest is simple and in addition to benefitting a charity that you care about, it can benefit you and your loved ones. It may enable you to make a bigger gift than you ever thought possible and reduce estate taxes.

If you have questions or would like to learn more about legacy giving at Hope’s Home, please visit Legacy Giving – Hope's Home or contact us at [email protected]

We encourage you to speak with your trusted professional advisors, lawyer, accountant or financial advisor, to learn more about the many ways you can create a legacy gift that achieves your objectives.

This month at Hope’s Home, we take time to celebrate the incredible Early Childhood Educators who make inclusive child care possible every day. 💙

Our ECEs create safe, nurturing, and engaging environments where children of all abilities can learn, play, and grow together. Through their creativity, patience, and dedication, they support each child’s development while fostering a true sense of belonging and inclusion.

From guiding early learning experiences to building meaningful connections with children and families, their impact is felt in every moment. They help children build confidence, develop new skills, and experience the joy of being part of a supportive community.

Because of their work, families have peace of mind, children are empowered to reach their full potential, and inclusive care comes to life each day.

We are so grateful for the heart, passion, and commitment they bring to their roles. 💙

Spring has arrived at Hope’s Home! 🌼

Our Toddler room had a special visit this season with duck eggs from Fenek Farms, and we’re so excited to share that three of them hatched. The children loved meeting the ducklings and getting up close with this hands-on spring experience.

Moments like these spark curiosity, wonder, and joy in learning. 💛
