Queen City Kinsmen

Queen City Kinsmen Queen City Kinsmen We have been serving the community of Regina and district for over 80 years. Since 1964 Kin have raised more than $35 million for CF.

Kin clubs throughout the province aid in the construction of hockey arenas, swimming pools, curling rinks, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, sports parks, community parks, seniors' complexes, playgrounds, and the list goes on and on. We also help those that need it the most - food banks, adult learning centers, help centers, the inner-city areas, boys and girls clubs, seniors clubs, special needs

camps and of course our charity Kinsmen TeleMiracle. Since 1964, Kin Canada has supported the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CCFF), raising as much as CAD $1 million a year for cystic fibrosis (CF) research and treatment. This makes Kin the country's largest single fundraiser for cystic fibrosis. For more infomation or if you would like to join the Queen City Kinsmen send us an email [email protected]

With last year's show firmly in the rear view, we kicked off fundraising for TeleMiracle 51!

Thank-you to all who participated and supported our efforts with our first Glow Pitch tournament co-hosted with our good friends at Regina's Pure Country.

We had great community support from sponsors Sherwood Co-op, Foster's Shoes Regina, Cowtown Canada, Action Sewer and Drain, SaskMilk , Nite Staging and Sound, Crown Shred & Recycling Inc. and WillScot.

Big shout out to Thepaddywagonyqr and their delicious "Whiskey Business" burger for supporting the cause.

One hundred years ago today, on April 1, 1926, the fledgling Association of Kinsmen Clubs gained a foothold in Saskatchewan with the establishment of the Kinsmen Club of Regina - which later changed its name to the Queen City Kinsmen Club. The first club in Saskatchewan, and 9th club in the country.

Harold Shook, a Charter Member of the Brandon Kinsmen Club was transferred to Regina, and soon missed his Kin family, leading him to work with a group of 4 local men to establish our club. They had “20 to 25” members for their first dinner meeting, and by late 1927 had 35 members in the club.

That first spark ignited a fire in our community. Parks, arenas, and other buildings in our city have been funded in full or in part by Kinsmen Clubs that can trace their roots back to our founding.

Our club has been the home club of Kin National Presidents, District Governors, Telemiracle Chairs and Kinsmen Foundation Chairs.

We now have 21 active and dedicated members, working to give our club a solid foundation on which to grow and support our community long into our second century!

Congratulations to Matt Read of Lloydminster!

If you are from Lloydminster you might want to buy a ticket if and when we do another quilt raffle, as both quilts so far have gone to a Lloydminster winner.

Thank-you to all who bought tickets!

106 years ago today, a group of men formed the foundation of what would become Kin Canada.

Just over 6 years later, that movement came to Regina!

On this day in 1920, a 21-year-old WWI veteran named Hal Rogers gathered a small group in Hamilton, Ontario, to spark something truly special: the first ever Kin Canada Club.

Having deeply missed the camaraderie of service, Hal created a place where young people could forge lasting friendships, strengthen their communities, apply their skills to help others, and grow into impactful community leaders.

106 years later, that original spark has spread nationwide. Today, Kin Canada boasts over 350 clubs and more than 4,500 dedicated volunteer members across the country.

Over the past century+, our volunteers have invested over $1 billion - and countless volunteer hours - into Canadian communities, making a real difference from coast to coast.

Today, we celebrate Founders' Day by honoring our past, celebrating our present, and looking forward to even more impact ahead.

Happy Founders' Day to every Kin who keeps Hal's vision alive! 🇨🇦
