We are one month away from Sept. 30, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation🧡

Our ‘Every Child Matters’ shirt has an important story to share in every inch of the custom artwork that was designed by a local Indigenous artist from the sport community. This uniquely designed shirt, is meant for individuals to wear in spirit, unity and commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.

• The circle shape represents the interconnectivity of all aspects of one’s being including the connection with the natural world.
• The child in the centre of the circle is looking up to the sky to acknowledge the children who never made it home from residential schools and is praying for those who still suffer from the affects.
• The starblanket guiding star pattern represents a new beginning from ignorance to the truth.
• The northern lights behind the starblanket are the spirits of those departed friends and relatives trying to communicate with those they left behind on earth.

Shirts are available at cost for $15.50, which means no proceeds are being collected from the sale of the shirts. It is Sask Sport’s hope that members of the sporting community have access to an Indigenous produced orange shirt to honour the survivors.

Shirts are available in adult (S to XXL) and youth (S to XL) sizing.

While making his Commonwealth Games debut, Jordan Carroll struck double gold and helped earn Canada's first Commonwealth title in 20 years💪🍁

Sask Sport is deeply saddened by the loss of former Indigenous Sport Leadership Council member Louis Gardiner.🧡

Louis dedicated his life to being an advocate for the Métis community and acted as a voice for other Île-à-la-Crosse residential school survivors.

Sask Sport is thinking of Louis' family and friends during this time.
