What a weekend! 🎃💙

Friday evening we hosted our very first volunteer information night. The wet, sloppy weather didn’t help, but we still welcomed some new faces, handed out lots of food, helped someone through a medical emergency, and got a few people into dry clothes.

On Saturday we joined the Buffalo People Arts Institute Halloween party. We showed up a little “late” (sorry!) we had just two cooks tackling all the cooking, but they pulled off an amazing feat and handed out over 250 meals.

Thankfully, a tenured WPL member was at the party and jumped in to help us serve, and her little boy helped as well. Thank you both so much! But they weren’t the only ones who helped. Huge thank you to the wonderful lady who donated soup for us to hand out, and the gentleman who helped us carry everything in.

None of this would have been possible without Buffalo People Arts Institute, so we want to extend a big thank you and our deepest gratitude. We hope we can collaborate again next year. 🙌

And of course, a special shoutout to Papa Smurf! 💙

White Pony Lodge is excited to announce that we’ll be serving a hot meal at the Buffalo People Arts Institute’s Halloween Party on Saturday, October 24th! 🍽️

Come show off your pumpkin-carving skills and work up an appetite! 🎃 Then stop by and grab a hot meal from us starting at 5:00 PM until the food runs out! 😋

After you’ve filled your belly, stick around for the evening’s dance and costume party and the haunted house! 👻🕸️ There’s lots of Halloween fun for the whole family!

Great night out in the community! 🌙 We handed out 30 meal bags and picked up 56 needles. It was chilly, but hey, at least it wasn’t snowing. ❄️

Thank you to everyone who came out. We couldn’t do this without you.

Great night out on patrol! Beautiful weather and eager volunteers helped us hand out 35 sandwich bags along with lots of water and snacks. Even though it’s getting dark earlier, we picked up plenty of needles and paraphernalia, and we even had a little dance party with two sweet kiddos who thought the strobe setting on our flashlights was amazing!

Holy moly, what a night! 🌙 161 meals + tons of goodies handed out tonight. That’s just $2.75 per meal! All thanks to our amazing volunteers who showed up and gave it their all. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, you make nights like this possible. 💛

We can’t wait for next month’s meal, but I’ll leave you with a little hint… 🍗
