The SBA works with the Canadian Bison Association (CBA) and other regional bison associations on a number of issues including livestock traceability, animal health

, the bison registry, bison research, producer profitability, marketing, international trade, and farm food safety. Through our website, we are bridging the gap between consumers and their food, providing a free space for producers and retailers of bison products to advertise their offerings, and educating the public on the incredible benefits of bison ranching in both ecological and economical terms. The SBA in action.
We’re proud to be invited to be part of the Premiers Advisory Council on CUSMA. Today, at the front of the caucus room in the legislature Premier Scott Moe thanked the various industries for their role in Saskatchewan’s success and also the plans for the CUSMA review. The Minister of Agricture, David Marit, the Minister of Trade, Warren Kaeding, other MLA’s, government officials and industry representatives were also in the room. AND, at the back of the room an impressive shoulder mount of a bison, donated by the SBA watched over the proceedings. It’s a proud moment for the industry.
The Premier’s Advisory Committee on CUSMA will be having sector specific round table meeting is the weeks ahead, while also anticipating ad hoc discussions as potential trade issues come up.

We are excited to announce a limited edition apparel collaboration with Prairie Proud!

For those unfamiliar, Prairie Proud is a Saskatchewan lifestyle brand which launched in 2014 to celebrate the prairie provinces while contributing a portion of all sales back to charities and initiatives across the prairies.
