On Monday, the Get Outside! Preschool Club explored the garden outside the Royal Saskatchewan Museum!

We learned about bees and the importance of bees through our outdoor story time and our nature activity!

We buzzed around as bees from flower to flower to pollinate the flowers and then flew to our hives! We also got to see other pollinators in the garden, including other bees and butterflies!

We had a blast with our mud kitchen and making art with sidewalk chalk!

We have two more groups exploring the garden tomorrow. It's not too late to sign up for our Friday session. You can register by going to www.natureregina/events and selecting May 29th session.

We are grateful to the City of Regina and the G. Murray and Edna Forbes Foundation for funding this outdoor program!

Last week the rain did not stop the Get Outside! Kids Club from getting outside at A.E. Wilson Park for the May PD Day!

We learned about birds and migration through a bird migration obstacle course lead by Lacey. We also learned about some of the challenges birds face when migrating, particularly due to human made structures, and about the importance of bird sanctuaries!

Cheryl lead us on a nature walk on Prairie Island to spot and observe the plants and birds in and around the Island. We were delighted to see several geese with their goslings! A highlight was releasing "helicopter seeds" from a maple tree - they really can fly!

We had fun playing in a beautiful nature spot on the island, and had a blast with our mud kitchen and playing with the sticks and cattails in the area too!

REGISTRATION is now OPEN for our next PD Day event on June 8th! You can sign up using the links below.

Session A (12:45pm) - https://www.natureregina.ca/event-details/get-outside-kids-club-pd-day-session-a-5

Session B (2:15pm) - https://www.natureregina.ca/event-details/get-outside-kids-club-pd-day-session-b-3

We are grateful to the City of Regina for providing funding for this outdoor program.
