On International Women in Engineering Day, APEGS is recognizing the women helping shape the future of engineering in Saskatchewan and across Canada. 👷♀️
Women remain significantly underrepresented in the engineering profession, despite making up more than half of Canada’s population. Increasing representation matters because diverse perspectives lead to stronger problem-solving, better innovation, and a profession that better reflects the communities it serves.
As the engineering regulator in Saskatchewan, APEGS supports efforts to create a more inclusive profession through initiatives like Engineers Canada | Ingénieurs Canada’s 30 by 30 goal, which aims to raise the percentage of newly licensed engineers who are women to 30% by 2030.
