In recognition of Red Dress Day, our KidsFirst families and Home Visitors came together for a meaningful activity to learn, reflect, and raise awareness about Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people.
During visits, families had the opportunity to hear the story of Tess’s Red Dress and decorate their own red dress cut out. Families could add messages of hope, healing, kindness, safety, and support.
These activities provide an opportunity for families to learn about Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people, recognize the importance of this issue, and reflect on how we can work together as a community to create safer, more caring spaces for everyone.
