Sign up by May 22!! Perform with us at the Opening Ceremony of the Canadian Gymnaestrada 2026! This is a unique opportunity to showcase our sport on another national stage as we take the floor at the Brandt Centre (home of the WHL Regina Pats) on July 1st. It’s going to be an unforgettable experience, and we would love to have you involved.
**COACHES are responsible for signing up their athletes!***
✨ Preparation
Music and a choreography video will be shared by May 31 so you can learn the routine ahead of time.
A full-group practice will take place on the evening of June 30 at the University of Regina (tentatively 6:00 - 8:00 pm) to rehearse formations and finishing touches.
A brief review and warm-up will happen the morning of July 1 at the Brandt Centre.
👕 Costume
A performance top (under $40) will be available for purchase. Link coming soon.
Female-identifying: black fitted shorts, skin-tone tights, and skin-tone dance footwear (jazz shoes or in-steps). Male-identifying: black shorts, black ankle socks, and black dance footwear (jazz shoes or in-steps). Please ensure all footwear is appropriate for dance (no sneakers).
🎉 Performance Details
The performance will take place shortly after 10:00 AM on July 1 (arrival time around 9:00 AM, final details to come). The routine is short and high-energy, no more than 3–5 minutes long. transportation from the host hotels is being arranged for out-of-province participants. There is also a possibility to perform again at our own closing ceremony on July 5 (details coming soon). For those participating on July 1, we will do our very best to accommodate scheduling so that any practices at the University of Regina on July 1 begin at or after 11:00 AM.
This is a fantastic chance to connect, perform, and celebrate our community together on a big stage. We hope you’ll join us!
