It was so much fun being part of the Construction Challenge at this year’s Red Deer Home Show! Watching each team design, build, and decorate their playhouses in just two days was incredible. We can’t wait to see how much is raised for each of the chosen local charities - and of course, who takes home the bragging rights! 🏆

This weekend (March 6-8 at Westerner Park), come check out The Red Deer Home Show!
In addition to all the vendors, there will be 3 teams racing to build epic 8x8 playhouses LIVE on the floor: Red Deer Construction Association, BILD Central Alberta and Red Deer Polytechnic. Sawdust, bragging rights, and pure Central Alberta building pride on the line!

All playhouses get auctioned off with proceeds to local charities.

We had such a fun and unforgettable morning of learning with the grade one class at .

Students had the exciting opportunity today to get a behind-the-scenes look at a live construction project and experience skilled trades in action, including tile setting, flooring, painting, electrical, and plumbing.

We're so grateful to be able to help facilitate memorable experiences like this that help spark curiosity and introduce students to the many rewarding opportunities within the trades.

A HUGE thank you to the and teams at the Clearview Apartments project who made this tour happen and of course another big thank you to all of the trades, we truly appreciate you taking time out of your day to answer questions, share your knowledge, and show the kids what the trades are all about and really helping inspire the next generation of skilled professionals! 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to the teachers, parents, and industry volunteers who helped guide and support students throughout the tour.
