Halfway through Men's Health Month, we are reminded that times have changed. Let's continue to break the stigma and bring up conversations on men's mental, social and physical well-being. Whether it's at home, in your workplaces or communities, seeking out support is a strength that gets easier with time.

We've heard from a lot of working Albertans asking why the Day of Protest is on a workday, and how they're supposed to participate when they can't take the day off.

Here's the thing: a protest on a workday is the point. We want this to be disruptive. We want corporations, politicians, and Albertans across the province to feel it.

In an open letter to working Albertans ahead of Friday's province-wide Day of Protest, AFL President Gil McGowan and Secretary-Treasurer Cori Longo are calling on every worker who can't make it to a protest in person to bring the protest into their workplace instead— by wearing yellow and black, making signs, posting pics and videos, and taking a 10-minute solidarity break sometime during their shift.

Every workplace that shows up is part of this. Tag us in your pics and videos so we can amplify.

Read the full open letter at afl.org/blog.
