Our Manifesto: Building a Sacred Cannabis Community

In the spirit of unity and reverence for the sacred cannabis plant, we, the members of this community, come together to create a society founded on friendship, care, and respect. We aim to establish a community that cherishes the sacredness of cannabis and the bonds

we form with one another. Embracing the Sacred Herb: We recognize cannabis as a sacred plant, a gift from nature that has been revered for centuries. We honour its medicinal, spiritual, and creative properties and commit to treating it with the utmost respect and responsibility. Unity in Friendship: We believe true friendship is an essential community pillar. We strive to build genuine connections with one another, embracing diversity and fostering an inclusive environment where all are welcome. Through friendship, we create a supportive network that uplifts and empowers each member. Care for One Another: Compassion and care are fundamental principles in our community. We pledge to be present for our friends, lend a helping hand, and offer support whenever needed. Together, we nurture an environment of understanding, empathy, and kindness, knowing that we genuinely thrive through caring for each other. Mindful Consumption: We approach cannabis consumption with mindfulness and moderation. We acknowledge that responsible use ensures the longevity of our relationship with the plant and promotes overall well-being. We encourage education and awareness about safe consumption practices while promoting the importance of personal choice and autonomy. Sustainability and Respect for Nature: We recognize that our connection with cannabis is intertwined with our relationship with the Earth. We strive to cultivate and consume cannabis in a manner that respects and sustains the environment. We advocate for eco-friendly growing methods, reducing waste, and supporting regenerative practices. Celebrating Spirituality: We embrace the spiritual aspects of cannabis, acknowledging its potential to deepen introspection, enhance creativity, and facilitate connection with the divine. We encourage individuals to explore their spiritual paths, guided by their beliefs and experiences while promoting tolerance and understanding. Advocacy and Social Justice: We stand united in advocating for the equitable and responsible use of cannabis. We work towards dismantling unjust laws and policies that have historically marginalized communities and perpetuated social inequalities. We strive for a just society that recognizes the healing potential of cannabis and promotes fair access for all. Education and Enlightenment: We believe in the power of knowledge and aim to empower ourselves and others through education. We foster an environment that encourages open dialogue, sharing insights, and learning from one another's experiences. By expanding our understanding of cannabis and its cultural significance, we cultivate an informed and enlightened community. With this manifesto as our guiding light, we embark on a journey together, pooling our resources and learnings, united by the sacredness of cannabis and our deep commitment to friendship and caring. Through our actions, we want to create a transformative community that serves as a beacon of love, respect, and unity for all who seek to join us on this sacred path.

In British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦 there are "farm-to-gate" programs that allow farmers to sell their products right at their farms. 👨‍🌾🌾

I will say the budtenders are excellent!

Eight years after legalization, Canada’s budtenders have evolved from friendly guides into overworked frontline professionals, who are forced to juggle compliance, education, sales, security, and customer service.

Unfortunately they also face low wages and have limited authority. At the same time, they get frequent disrespect from customers, producers, and sometimes employers.

Where are our h**p farmers at?

By growing crops like h**p, fourth-generation farmer and Kiss the Ground Board Member Patrick Brown is proving that Regeneration is possible—not only for the land, but for future generations as well.

H**p is a powerful source for drawing down carbon, enhancing biodiversity, and improving soil structure, helping to rapidly restore our planet and communities.

Help us continue to inspire and catalyze the transition of farmland into regenerative agriculture by donating today. 🌱

🌱 H**p helps soil recover

H**p improves soil structure and helps reduce erosion thanks to its fast growth and deep root system. It has also been studied for phytoremediation, meaning it can absorb certain heavy metals from contaminated soils, which is why it is sometimes used on degraded or tired land as part of regeneration efforts.

🌿 H**p vs. Cannabis: What's the Difference? 🌿

Let's clear the air on this green confusion! 🌱 H**p and cannabis may belong to the same family, but they have distinct qualities.

⬇️Here's the scoop⬇️

🌱 H**p: Meet the industrious sibling! H**p is cultivated for its fiber, seeds, and oil. It has low levels of THC (the psychoactive compound), typically 0.3% or less. H**p's fibers are used for textiles, ropes, and more, while its seeds offer nutritional value and oil extraction. It's all about industry and versatility with h**p!

🌿 Cannabis: The chill cousin! Cannabis, aka ma*****na, is grown for medicinal and recreational purposes. It contains higher levels of THC, ranging from a few percent to over 20%, depending on the strain. Cannabis's psychoactive effects make it popular for recreational use, but it also contains non-psychoactive compounds like CBD, which has potential therapeutic benefits. 🌈💚

Remember, the legal status of h**p and cannabis can vary, so always check local regulations before partaking. Knowledge is power, green enthusiasts! 🌍💪

Slide 6 V2: “The basic survival of a primitive nomadic tribe is dependent on a constant source of food, medicine, and on some basic tools, adequate stone that can be chipped into an edged cutting blade, sharpened wood or bone, and most importantly fiber to shape anything from containers to simple ropes.

Weaving is the oldest human crafts along with tool-making and has been central to the survival of our species.

The most valuable sources of food for foraging tribes are seeds, grains and nuts, light and nutritious food with a long shelf life. All other perishable products foraged would be consumed daily. The ability to control fire and cook would make seeds, grains, and nuts a vital part of a nomadic tribe’s diet.

By following the ancestral migratory routes of herds of herbivores through the grasslands and steppes of Central Asia, Homo Erectus would have been able to gather an important and plentiful food source from the land as well as scavenge meat during his migration over the Eurasian continent.

In an effort to retrieve the nutrient dense seeds, resin would stick to their fingers.
Cleaning their hands would have led them to the discovery of the psychoactive property of ingested resin and the process that would lead to the first cannabis concentrate product - charas, the hand-rubbed resin from live plants.

Charas, fiber and seeds have been harvested together since the beginning of time."
