Join us on August 22nd for an amazing day of fun, safety, and community as Red Deer Safety City celebrates 25 years of programs in Central Alberta!

Stay tuned for news on our plans, partners, games and activities, and special guests as we work our way through the summer.

Donation Request!

Hey all, our printer is on its last legs and has begun printing every document we have with some beautiful pink streaking.

Unfortunately our printer is an older discontinued model and cannot be properly serviced as the parts have also been discontinued.

If anyone has a high capacity office printer that they or their business would be looking to donate to a small non-profit please contact us!

With proof of value we are also happy to provide a Gift-in-Kind tax receipt for the donor!

Are you a business owner or responsible for the marketing of your group to Red Deerians and our community?

Safety City is a unique attraction in Central Alberta that sees thousands of children pass through its CityScape each year (not to mention their parents and guardians). These children learn crucial safety skills in a real-life simulation of traffic by driving and walking around a miniaturized downtown core.

We are looking for some new tenants to join us and give a few of our kiosks a makeover before our birthday in August!

We are looking for businesses and organizations who are dedicated to children's safety, education, injury-prevention, and community safety.

Your dedication can range from a simple cosmetic makeover of an existing kiosk all the way up to the complete rebuild of a fully-interactive showcase of your organizations unique awesomeness!

If you have a local (or bigger) business and would interested in joining the CityScape give us a shout. Both short and long term contracts are available and prices vary.

Thank you community!

This past weekend we held an open day at the CityScape in partnership with RDPL and the Book-Bike, Pedals & Pages!

Just like the May iteration of this event, you showed up and we all had an amazing time chatting with you and watching individuals of all sizes ride around the CityScape.

These events have been a trial this year to gauge the interest from our community in attending open events at Safety City and you all really showed up for us!

An extra thank you to Ice Cream Smiles food truck for bringing come cool treats to the City in the afternoon, and to the summer staff from RDPL for hanging out with us on a hot and beautiful day.

Watch our social media and website for more open days and summer programs at Safety City. and If your little ones didn't want to go home at the end of the day consider sending them back for a whole week of safety fun in one of our summer camps!

In just a few short weeks Safety City volunteers will be filling some shifts at Red Deer Resort & Casino to help raise funds to support our injury-prevention programs.

We are still a few hands short, if you are available to help us out on July 2nd & 3rd we would love to hear from you!

Summer is coming soon as we still have room in our awesome week long camps!

Join us for a week at Safety City starting the week of June 29th and running until the last week of August. Each day runs 9-3 with the option for late pick-up or early drop-off for an additional fee.

We are happy to announce a bonus special guest for Pedals & Pages tomorrow - Ice Cream Smiles food truck!

It's looking to be a hot and sunny day so make sure you come back after your lunch break - starting at 1:30 p.m. Ice Cream Smiles will be on-site to dish out some cool sweet treats.

*Please note that all riders in the CityScape must be finished their snack before driving out in order to ensure we all keep two hands on the wheel!
