Our YMCA Summer Day Camp campers got into the western spirit this week!

We hope everyone across Red Deer has a safe and memorable Westerner Days filled with community, creativity, and summer fun.

Come to our free "Learn to Skate" sessions at the Red Deer Skatepark downtown and learn how to skateboard with one of our Skatepark Mentors.
This program runs until Aug 27 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12–3pm.

We also offer free skatepark mentorship at the Glendale Skatepark, Mon–Fri from 12–8pm and Weekends from 12–5pm until the end of August.

The Skatepark Youth Mentorship Program is back!

GLENDALE SKATEPARK
Our trained mentors are available to offer free support to new skaters and scooter riders, provide free access to gear and help keep the skatepark a safe and supportive environment for all. No registration is needed. Just drop in and start skating!
• Spring/Fall (May, Jun, Sep, Oct):
Mon–Fri from 3:30–7pm and Weekends from 12–8 pm
• Summer (Jul, Aug):
Mon–Fri from 12–8 pm and Weekends from 12–5 pm

DOWNTOWN SKATEPARK
Starting May 26th, come our "Learn to Skate" sessions and learn how to skateboard with one of our Skatepark Mentors.

This fall we ran SkyHigh Kick’in the Kitchen as our first Youth Transitions Program in Red Deer!
Participants worked in small teams to design aprons, create team identities, and collaboratively prepare a main entrée and dessert for their families. Alongside cooking, youth engaged in hands-on learning focused on nutrition, kitchen safety, and budgeting, applying their knowledge in real time through activities such as comparing grocery prices using “Click and Collect” tools.

We're so grateful for opportunities like these to bring valuable programming to youth in our community and it would not be possible without our generous supporters.
