There are some incredible community organizations who helped make our summer camp such a special, meaningful and memorable experience for our youth and we want to say THANK YOU!
A very special thank you to Marvel Hair College for welcoming our campers and teaching us that self-care and taking care of ourselves is important at every age.
Our youth had the opportunity to experience something many of them had never experienced before: from having their hair washed and styled, to learning about new techniques and products to promote healthy hair growth, the excitement throughout the day was contagious! Several youths shared that they had never had someone else to wash their hair before, making the experience feel extra special.
We even had a few campers who were especially excited because becoming a hairstylist is their dream career! They loved having the opportunity to learn from the staff and students, ask questions and hear more about what a future in hairstyling could look like.
The staff and students were incredibly welcoming, friendly and willing to take the time to connect with our youth and answer all of their questions. It was such a positive and empowering experience for everyone involved.
Thank you to our community partners for creating opportunities, building confidence and making lasting memories for our youth. It takes a community to create experiences like these, and we are so grateful for every organization, business, staff member and volunteer who helps make our programs possible.
Thank you for investing in our youth and helping us make summer one they won't forget.
