Our country has a pressing need for more physical instruction for youth and young adults. As school commitments to physical education decline, due to increasing academic standards, many parents want thier children to excel physically as well as academically. This helps the child’s self-esteem and may possibly open a pathway to continue playing well after high school. To achieve our goal we focus o
n four main services:
■Plyometric and agility programs
■Private or small group resistance training
■Competitive Nutrition Program (Diet Master Pro)
■Sport-specific instruction (group or individual)
Plyometric and agility programs (often referred to as “jump training”) should be a cornerstone for the enhancement of athletic ability. We usually conduct these in a group setting, focusing on the stretch-shorten, muscle cycle, with exercises which allow the muscles to be stretched just before firing, so that their contractions will be quicker and more powerful. Private or small group resistance training consists of the use of athletic strength cords, free weights and nautilus machines, coupled with the mentioned aerobic activities. We exercise strict focus on form and observe age-appropriate precautions. Our Competitive Nutrition Program is a 12 week program designed to educate athletes of the nutritional demands their bodies require to optimally perform at their highest level. Sport-specific instruction is facilitated by qualified coaches that have played and or coached in the respective sport at the college level or above.
