Volunteers at Michener Services can make significant contributions to the lives of the people who live there. Volunteers create contacts and help include people with developmental disbailities in their communities. As a Michener volunteer you can:
-Encourage and support a friend in their community
-Assist individuals in spiritual, recreational, and social activities
-Help individuals gain a greate

r sense of themselves and the world around them
-Encourage individuals in making choices
-Learn more about the challenges facing individuals with disabilities in participating in the full range of life experiences
-Offer as little as 1/2 hour per week to visit with and share activities with another person
