EPSS - Employment Placement & Support Services EPSS is a non-profit organization committed to providing high quality community and employment services to Albertans.

We believe in you and have created programs and supports that will help you in gaining employment and improving quality of life. Established in 1986, EPSS is a not-for-profit agency operated, and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors representing various s

ectors within the community. This Board represents Specialized Training, Employment and Placement (STEPS) of Red Deer which is incorporated as a society under the Societies Act. The purpose of EPSS is to actualize the principles of equality in employment by providing a broad continuum of specialized employment / training services to assist unemployed / underemployed individuals including Youth, Adults, Immigrants, Mature Workers and Persons with Disabilities, empowering them to become viable and productive members of the workforce. Since inception, EPSS has provided quality, successful services to numerous recipients of Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH), Alberta Works Income Support (AW-IS), Employment Insurance Benefits (EI), as well as Albertans with Employment Insurance Reachback and/or “regular” unemployed or underemployed status.
