The Canola Project The Canola Project is the brainchild of a group of Albertan artists seeking to engage the communitie Why the Name "The Canola Project"?

The Canola plant began as an initial source for investigation as we surveyed the increasing number of canola fields in Alberta over the past 14 years. Genetically modified (GMO) canola is a metaphor that inspired us to examine how constantly developing food commodities and the farming practices that create the food, affect our ever changing lifestyles and the places we inhabit.
