Exciting news! CMHA - Central Alberta in partnership with the Town of Sylvan Lake has a new free to attend work shop starting on August 5th!

Create & Connect will be a low stress and low commitment workshop available in Sylvan Lake at the NexSource Centre!

There will be a variety of activities such as:
❤️‍🩹Making a Wellness Tool Kit
📌Creating a Vision Board
✂️Crafting for our Affirmation Tree
🎨Rock Painting

🎯There will also be Kids Corner with games and face painting!

❔Interested in learning more, CMHA - Central Alberta will be at the Sylvan Lake Farmers Market this Friday, June 26th! (Weather permitting)

ASIST (Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training) is a two-day, interactive workshop that helps you recognize when someone may be thinking about su***de and learn how to respond with safety, clarity, and care.💚

Guided by CMHA Alberta Central Region’s commitment to mental health, this training offers practical skills, role-play practice, and time for reflection. Register here to build confidence in having difficult conversations and in supporting someone’s safety in a real and informed way.

This past Tuesday, our CareGiver Connections support group got to hear from our very informative guest speaker, Chantelle Samoridny, from Voice of Albertans With Disabilities!

She explained the AISH/ADAP transitions and offered valuable resources to our Caregivers in attendance.

Thank you Chantelle for an amazing session and for taking the time to come and connect with all of us!💖

💚CareGiver Connections is a weekly peer support group of those who are parents, partners or a caregiver to those with a mental health concern and/or addiction.

💬Session discussions vary and include topics such as self-care, boundaries, communication tools, and available resources.

The group meets in person and online.💻

Support, connect & learn with other group member in a safe space without feeling judged.
