Writer's Ink - Red Deer and District The Red Deer and Area Writing Group known as “Writers’ Ink” is a group of adults who meet weekly to share and critique one another’s writing.

Welcome to the Red Deer and Area Writers’ Group. We hold weekly meetings (every Tuesday) alternating between Zoom and in person at the Calder school house at Sunny rook farm. 2879 Botterill Crescent, Red Deer, AB T4R 0T9

Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. and end around 9:00 p.m. We meet, share our writing, and offer constructive criticism to one another. We also do our utmost to improve in the craft of

writing by organizing to Skype with professionals in the field of writing, by inviting guest speakers to our Spring Workshop and to the occasional meeting. Our professional library is increasing as is our knowledge gained from members who are constantly seeking new challenges and sharing successes and failures with the group. Guests are welcome!

Artists on the Avenue 7th Annual Art Show & Sale features SIXTEEN ARTISTS set up in FENSALA HALL for the weekend! Hours are Saturday 10-5, and Sunday 10-3. Location: 24 Main Avenue, Markerville.
THREE more artists are opening up their LOCAL STUDIOS to join in: Otter Pottery and Marlene's Krafty Korner, both west of the Church in Markerville along Johnson Avenue and open 10-5 both days; and Grass Roots Art Studio, just a 5-minute drive east of Markerville (36372 on Rge Rd 15) and open 12-5 both days.
We hope you can make it out no matter what the weather throws our way to enjoy the local, handmade artwork!
