The Central Alberta Human Resources Scholarship was established to provide $1,000 annually to be awarded to a resident of Central Alberta who is enrolled in a post-secondary program that focuses on Human Resources Management.

The Trey Purdie Memorial Scholarship is available for students residing on a working farm or ranch who are either a Red Deer County resident or graduating from a school within the Chinook's Edge School Division . There is also an award opportunity available to members of the Alberta High School Rodeo Association .

We are proud to share that Aspire Child Development Centre has launched its Alumni Legacy Fund at the Community Foundation. This fund will serve as an opportunity for Aspire's dedicated alumni community to come together in a shared act of giving back.

The Alumni Legacy Fund is part of Aspire's broader Fee Assistance Endowment, which works to ensure that all families, regardless of financial circumstances, can access programs and services for their children with diverse needs. The new Alumni Legacy Fund will be a key pillar in strengthening and sustaining that capacity for years to come.

The portal for our Community Microgrants Program is open!

Applications will close on June 1.

Organizations working in Central Alberta are eligible to apply for up to $5,000 for innovative new projects, short-term projects, equipment-based projects, and seed funding for long-term projects.

Spring is here, and so is a new round of Smart & Caring Communities Microgrants! This cycle, the Community Foundation is proud to support ten organizations across Central Alberta, each receiving $5,000 to fund projects that reflect the creativity and resilience of Central Alberta.

From maternal health and support for both youth and seniors, to Indigenous land-based learning and clean energy internships, this round of funding speaks to the breadth of need and innovation happening right here in our region. We can't wait to see these projects and programs in action!

The Rotary Career Opportunity Award is open to anyone attending Red Deer Public Schools and Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools . Students must be attending a post-secondary institution within Alberta to be eligible.

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Red Deer, this award will be given to up to 15 students.

The award is $3,000 per student.

This week we celebrate National Volunteer Week by announcing the 2026 recipients of the the Volunteer Central Legacy Grant.

Parachutes for Pets has received a grant for their Pathways to Wellness project to bolster volunteer confidence and effectiveness.

Bashaw & District Support Services will use the grant to strengthen volunteer capacity through training, materials, and appreciation efforts. Bashaw & Area Community Resource Centre

Created to carry on the mission of Volunteer Central, the Volunteer Central Legacy Grant supports volunteerism within the charitable sector here in Central Alberta.

The William Arthur Bower Memorial Scholarship was developed in memory of William Arthur Bower, a Red Deer resident who lost his life in World War I.

A minimum of five scholarships of $5,000 each are awarded every year, open to students graduating from Red Deer Public Schools and Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools .
