Located on Little Gaetz Ave in the heart of Downtown Red Deer, the Downtown Red Deer Market runs every Wednesday evening 3:30-6:30 p.m. The market is an accredited Alberta Farmer’s Market, offering locally produced goods. Regularly available products include meat, fresh vegetables and fruit, and handmade items.
Established in 2009, the market was originally located in a parking lot. A much-needed expansion lead to a relocation to 50 Avenue (“Little Gaetz”) and increased the size of the market by 3 to 4 times its original capacity. Patrons can expect to find between 20 and 30 vendors each week.
The market is operated by the Red Deer Downtown Business Association.
