2027 SHOW OPPORTUNITY — WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK!

The QHAA Board is exploring a potential NEW show offering for the 2027 season, and before we take the next steps, we want to hear from our exhibitors and surrounding associations.

We are currently considering:

July 1–4, 2027
Lloydminster, AB/SK

This is an exploratory opportunity — no final decisions have been made. Your feedback will play an important role in helping our Board determine whether the dates, facility and anticipated costs make sense for our show community.

If you are a member or exhibitor with:

• Quarter Horse Association of Alberta (QHAA)
• Saskatchewan Quarter Horse Association (SQHA)
• Saskatchewan Paint Horse Club (SPHC)
• Alberta Paint Horse Club (APHC)

Our feedback window is OPEN NOW through September 28.

The survey asks about the proposed dates, facility, anticipated costs and your likelihood of attending. There is also an opportunity to provide additional comments or suggestions.

Whether your answer is “YES, sign me up,” “maybe, but…” or “this wouldn’t work for me,” we want to hear it. Constructive feedback from our exhibitors will help us determine whether this is an opportunity worth pursuing.

Okay Nationals exhibitors… consider this your friendly little photo nudge.

If you still have photos sitting in your favourites from the Canadian National Quarter Horse Show, it might be time to stop admiring them and hit that purchase button.

We absolutely LOVED the expanded photography and video coverage at Nationals this year, and we’d love nothing more than to have these great services back again in 2027.

But here’s the thing…

Photographers come back when exhibitors buy photos.

And while screenshots might be great for deciding which ones you love… screenshots unfortunately don’t pay photographers.

Every purchase tells these talented professionals that our show is worth travelling to, spending long days ringside at, and putting back on their calendar next year.

So buy the great shot. Buy the goofy one. Buy the one where your horse’s ears are actually forward and your eyes are open — because we all know those are basically priceless.

We can tell our photographers “everyone LOVED having you at Nationals!” all day long…

But “everyone loved having you AND they bought your work” makes a much stronger case for Nationals 2027.

Show our photographers some love, grab those photos you’ve been eyeing, and help us keep bringing these services back year after year.
