The need doesn’t end when the holiday season does.

Today, the Red Deer Kinsmen Club was honoured to present a $500 donation to the Red Deer Food Bank. With many families continuing to feel the effects of rising costs, supporting organizations like the Food Bank is more important than ever.

We believe strong communities are built when neighbours help neighbours. Every event attended, sponsorship purchased, and donation made through the Kinsmen helps us continue supporting local initiatives that make a real difference.

A huge shoutout to the Stettler Kinsmen Club and Kinette Club Of Stettler for hosting District Conference. More than 200 Kin members from around the province gathered to celebrate, learn, socialize and volunteer last weekend. As a district over 65,000 hours of volunteer time was recorded and over $3.5 million dollars donated to our local communities this Kin season. Proud to be part of Kin Canada

Last night, we had the privilege of celebrating 50 years of Youth HQ and the incredible impact they’ve made in our community.

The Red Deer Kinsmen Club is proud to have supported this organization from the very beginning and to continue supporting their mission today.

From mentorship and guidance to providing a safe place for youth, Youth HQ has changed countless lives across Central Alberta — and it was an honour to celebrate this milestone alongside so many community members, supporters, and volunteers.

Congratulations on 50 years, Youth HQ. Here’s to the next 50.

A strong community night for the Red Deer Kinsmen as we had the opportunity to present a $5,000 donation to the Veterans Voices of Canada-Military History Museum in Parkland Mall.

Walking through the museum, hearing the stories, seeing the artifacts, and witnessing pieces of history firsthand was something truly special. The passion and dedication behind this museum is incredible, and it’s a place every Central Albertan should make a point to visit and support.

Thank you Al and those involved for preserving these stories and sacrifices so future generations never forget. 🇨🇦

Last week, over 120 local high school students showed up to give back, lead by example and help build confidence in the next generation through the Grow Kids events held at the Collicutt Centre and the G.H. Dawe Community Centre. 🤍

Students from Hunting Hills, Lindsay Thurber, Notre Dame and St. Joseph came together to volunteer their time, encourage younger youth and be part of something positive in our community.

Moments liked this remind us that there are incredible young people in Red Deer stepping up, supporting others and helping create a stronger community for everyone around them.

A special thank you to the organizing committees, staff, mentors and community partners whose dedication behind the scenes helped make these events possible for so many local youth.

Thank you to all involved for showing what leadership, kindness and community spirit look like. The future is bright. ✨

What’s better than 1,400 kids gathering in movement, connection, and empowerment?

Helping provide even more support so the youth in our community can continue doing exactly that — leading the way with responsibility, respect, understanding, and meaningful relationships.
