Well, it’s been a good run, but it is time to pass the torch. Effective May 23, 2026, GuitarZ For KidZ here in Central Alberta will be guided by Messrs. Greg Boulay and Dan Barton. We will let them do their own introductions to you all.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, David and myself, we thank all of you who so quickly got behind our GuitarZ For KidZ project back in 2018. Your enthusiasm, your kind donations of instruments, your cash donations, your purchase of raffle tickets, and mostly your overwhelming moral support was just incredible. We do hope that your support of GuitarZ For KidZ will continue under new leadership.

If you are someone that our program has helped, we are eternally grateful that we were able to make a difference in your life. You have made a difference in ours.

Well friends, supporters and fans, as all good things must, our time here at GuitarZ For KidZ in Red Deer must come to an end. We have been hard at it for eight years and it seems the need is waning, which is a good thing. If there is someone out there who is interested in keeping it going, with better ideas (maybe younger ideas?) to jump start it further please touch base with us. Failing such, by the end of 2026 we will be dissolving our wonderful enterprise. Kindest regards to all. David & Don

We have an ask that needs to be fulfilled gang. We need a violin or fiddle (perspective) for a young man in need. Anyone got a line on a dusty old Stradivarius kicking around under a bed? It doesn,t have to be a Strad, but it's the only brand I know!

We were so pleased to present this wonderful Martin guitar to our good friend & loyal supporter of GuitarZ For KidZ, Kevin Enright. Kevin was the high bidder in our silent auction. He tells us he's going to "break it in" before gifting it to his son!

To all of the teachers & teacher's aids on our pages, school is getting close. We know that you know someone, a student, or maybe not a student, who would love the gift of music, but cannot afford it. The picture is just one of the electric guitar and amp combos we have given away. We also have acoustic guitars, whether folks, country or even classical.
