The abuse and violence inflicted on Rylin is heartbreaking and unacceptable. No child, no person, should ever have to experience fear, pain, or cruelty in a place where they are supposed to feel safe.

At SATW , we believe that music, art, compassion, and community can help break cycles of violence and hopelessness. Our project was built not only to support musicians and artists, but to create a safe space where people uplift one another, encourage kindness, and stand together against abuse, bullying, and hatred.

A strong community is not measured by talent alone — it is measured by how we protect the vulnerable, how we treat people behind closed doors, and how willing we are to speak up when something is wrong.

This is why initiatives like SATW matter. When people gather through music, art, volunteerism, and kindness, we create connections that inspire empathy instead of violence. We create environments where youth feel seen, families feel supported, and individuals know they are not alone.

To Rylin and everyone who has suffered abuse: your pain matters, your voice matters, and there are people who care.

Let this tragedy remind us all to be more compassionate, more watchful, and more united as a community.

What satw offers:
1. Free rehearsal music studio
2.Free rental of musical instruments to be used at the comfort of their homes or certain community.
3. Acoustica backyard music jams- no fee musical events supported by various local artist and talents.Yearly events
4.We help groups in forming their own band,short term and long term bands.

5.Supporting local music events organized by private event organizers-red deer,sylvan lake,ponoka,innisfail,delburne.
6.Supporting local business owners in promoting their brand/weekly events or business for free.

7.overseas projects
- elementary school feeding in 3rd world countries.
- supporting really poor parents through medical aide/monetary in 3rd world countries.
-donating bicycles to impoverished children on 3rd world countries
And yes we do all of this for FREE.

Pedal Against Poverty – Mother’s Day Bike Drive 🚲❤️

This coming May 8, in celebration of Mother’s Day, I will be donating mountain bikes to underprivileged Grade 5 and Grade 6 students in the Philippines.

I chosed to give bikes to children because nothing brings a mother more joy than seeing her child smile, feel included, and experience happiness.
For many families living in poverty, even something as simple as a bicycle is a dream that can change a child’s daily life — helping them get to school easier, explore their community safely, and create memories they will never forget.

This campaign is called “Pedal Against Poverty.”

Our goal is simple:

*Bring hope to children
*Honor hardworking mothers
*Give kids a reason to smile
*Encourage education and mobility through bicycles

One bike may seem small to some, but to a child in need, it can mean confidence, freedom, and motivation.

If you would like to help, you can join the campaign by contributing toward:

Kids’ mountain bikes
Safety gear
Transportation and distribution costs
Future bike donations for more children
Together, we can turn compassion into movement — one pedal at a time.

*Standing With Tumbler Ridge

On behalf of Sounds Against the Waves"Bridging the gap through music" ( A mental health awareness project)
, we extend our deepest condolences to the community of Tumbler Ridge. During this painful time, our hearts stand with every family, friend, and individual affected.

Life can bring unexpected waves — grief, uncertainty, silent battles no one sees.
And sometimes, those same waves quietly drown dreams.

We have seen how many musical journeys are hindered because of:

• Financial crisis
– Unable to buy an instrument
– Unable to rent a rehearsal space
– Unable to afford music lessons
• No one to jam with
• Being in a group but feeling no connection, no chemistry, no shared heartbeat

These struggles are real. And they affect mental health more than we often admit.
This is why SATW exists.

We are volunteer artists who give not only our skills, but our time — freely. Through our free music events and our flagship Free Rehearsal Music Studio, we use music as a tool to rise above the harsh waves of daily crises.
Music becomes an outlet.
Music becomes therapy.
Music becomes community.

At SATW, we strive to remove the barriers. We cover the space. We build the community. We create the environment where creativity flows and connections form naturally.

No one should feel alone in their journey.

There is a growing family of artists and musicians ready to support, collaborate, and walk alongside anyone who simply needs a place to belong.
