We're hosting another online Art Jam!

Bring whatever you're working on and create alongside other local artists, animators, filmmakers, writers, and creatives.

We'll spend some focused time working on our projects together, then wrap up with an optional feedback and sharing session for anyone who'd like input or wants to show what they've been working on.

Whether you're a hobbyist, student, or professional, all skill levels are welcome! Drop-ins welcome if you can only stay for part of it.

Concrete Harbor Magazine, a student run publication and nonprofit from Maryland, is looking for submissions for their Spring 2026 issue!

This is an opportunity to get your work seen by people from around the world and to represent Red Deer.

Selected individuals will earn $25 for their work.

About them:
"Founded in 2025, our magazine publishes for a diverse, international audience. Our award-winning editorial team offers detailed feedback on every single piece submitted (of course, only if requested). This winter, we released our second issue and received submissions from students living across the world, from Poland to Zimbabwe to Mexico.”

Had such a great time speaking at Central Alberta Nerd Expo! It was really encouraging to see such a fantastic turnout at the venue.

Our February hangout is happening on February 12th! Students and non-students are welcome to join anytime from 4:30-6:00pm.

📖 Get together with your fellow animators and filmmakers at Room 2006L in the library on the RDP Campus.

🐮This meetup is free and open to everyone. This month's meetup we will be doing something a bit different: a screening of a short film made the pinscreen technique: a nearly 100 year old filmmaking technology.

🆓 No need for a campus parking pass! Campus parking is free after 4 pm.

🟢 Swipe for the public parking map! Lot 22 is right near the library. Public parking lots are marked in green.

🐮 Our first meeting took place last October!

🍁 During our discussion, we explored how this group can best serve its members.

🐄 An important point that came up was the need for networking opportunities.

🤝🏼 One of the long term goals of CAAF is to create opportunities for professional networking among the animator community in Red Deer.

🌾 A great starting point is growing membership and strengthening our community through monthly meetups!
