New year new me is what they say but here at Edgebrook Avalanche Recuse we dont like to change when it comes to Sasquatch and avalanche safety. Speaking of which our local Sasquatch has come out of summer hibernation so keep that in mind when traveling the backwoods.

Avalanche risk is low but never zero, be extra careful when high marking your 1990 yamaha vmax. Section two is the safest bet If you’re unsure of the proper snowpack.

On a serious note we have added a large first aid kit in the clubhouse. So if you need, it’s there and ready.

Happy new year everyone, hope you had a merry Christmas, and enjoy this trail cam photo we captured last week.

Been lacking on the Facebook updates lately, sorry folks. With canola prices down and Sasquatch sightings up it’s been tough having time to keep the community safe and updated. As you all know safety is always first.

First off we want to thank all of you for the following and support.

Now onto the business section of the post. Snow is looking great out here, With the rain and recent snow there is a high possibility of snow slides and avalanches in certain areas. Division 1 and 3 are moderate risk but division 2 is high to extreme. Remember to report any high risk areas to one of our Sasquatch/Avalanche experts and always be cautious in these areas.

Like we mentioned, Sasquatch sightings are more and more lately as it’s the rut (mating season) stay 200 meters (656 feet) away if you see them at this time.

Stay safe out there anyone. P.S the sign out front the shack hasn’t attracted any Sasquatch’s yet. Key word yet.

Big day for the Avalanche Team. Out on patrol today keeping everyone safe.

The fellas have been preparing for this for years. Do not worry we will have it under control.

Merry Christmas from the Edgebrook Avalanche Rescue Team……. Apparently we were on Santa’s naughty list as we didn’t get any of the snow we wished for. Makes for hard Sasquatch tracking. Also we can’t provide a Sasquatch update at this time being. We are currently working on a proposal to send to parliament hill that will hopefully implement a tax to help change the climate so it snows more. Cheers 🍻

As winter comes upon us, Edgebrook Avalanche Rescue wants to remind you about a few things.

Beer will freeze if left in the minivan overnight.

Bald summer tires will not slow you down as fast as the fancy snow tires mook sells.

Summit 850s will get you to the top of whatever hill Edgebrook has to offer.

Oh and by the way Sasquatch mating season has just begun. Hide your wife.
