This evening, our members were honoured to host its 3rd Annual First Responders Appreciation Dinner for the members of Thorhild County Emergency & Protective Services.

While a meal is only a small token of our gratitude, it is a way to recognize the countless hours these dedicated individuals spend training, preparing, and responding to emergencies in our communities. When the call comes, they leave their families, workplaces, and personal commitments behind to assist others who may be experiencing one of the most challenging days of their lives.

From motor vehicle collisions and fires to gas leaks, medical assists, and countless unexpected situations that require immediate action, these responders answer the call with professionalism, compassion, and dedication.

As organizations committed to serving our community, we recognize that while our roles may be different, we share a common purpose: helping others and making our communities stronger, safer, and more connected.

On behalf of the Lions Club of Radway, thank you for your service, sacrifice, and commitment to keeping our communities safe. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and we are deeply grateful for all that you do.

🎓 Grad 2026 🎓

In just a few short weeks, these Thorhild Central School students will be celebrating their high school graduation and beginning the next chapter of their lives.

Our members would like to congratulate this outstanding group of young adults and wish them every success in the adventures and opportunities that lie ahead.

We are grateful for the time and energy they shared with our community this past year, including their assistance with our Santa visit and helping assemble gift bags for local seniors. Their willingness to volunteer and give back has made a positive impact and has been greatly appreciated.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! You are an amazing group of young adults, and we look forward to seeing where your journeys take you.

Our members are proud to support projects that strengthen our community and create opportunities for families and youth.

Supporting Thorhild Minor Ball and Thorhild Agricultural Society with their Thorhild Field of Dreams project is an investment in our community and in future generations.

Community service is at the heart of what Lions do, and supporting important local initiatives like this is one way we can continue making a positive impact together.

On Saturday, 11 volunteers, including 7 members and their family and friends, participated in the 2026 highway clean-up initiative.

Together, our group cleaned 19 km of Highway 18, from Highway 63 to Range Road 231, covering both sides of the highway for a total of 38 km of cleaned ditch.

Funds raised through this program will be reinvested into our community to support free events, key initiatives, and the efforts of local non-profit organizations working to maintain a vibrant and connected community.

A special thank you to Avelia and Joesph, who volunteered alongside their great aunt.

As Lions, we are proud to serve our community.

With the generous support of a guest from our recent Sebastian Steele hypnotist evening and a kind-hearted community member, our club is proud to team up with the Radway Agricultural Society to help the Easter Bunny deliver sweet treats at the upcoming Easter Market.

Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate at our St. Patrick’s Day Hypnotist Night. It was a fantastic evening filled with laughter and community spirit.

A tremendous thank you to the real stars of the show, our brave volunteers who took the stage and kept the whole room laughing all night. Your willingness to play along made the night unforgettable.

A special thank you to Lorraine for making the homemade buns, and to Philene for preparing gluten-free perogies so our gluten-free guests could enjoy the meal as well.

And of course, thank you to hypnotist Sebastian Steele, who demonstrated and showcased the power of hypnosis in such an entertaining way.

With a little “luck of the Irish,” we are truly blessed to have such wonderful community support. Your support at events like this allows us to continue reinvesting in projects, activities, and initiatives that benefit our community. 🍀
