We love when our community brings us great ideas!

After a local school reached out asking if they could host their year-end field trip with us, we thought… why not make it available for more groups?!

Introducing our KV Oasis Field Trips — including a splash pad visit, playground time, and a fun 1-hour activity (focused on crime prevention) right here at the centre.

A big THANK YOU to the school who sparked this idea — we’re so excited to offer this opportunity to others!

If your school, daycare, or group is looking to plan a field trip, please reach out to Sarah ASAP to secure your date.

You won’t want to miss this Human Trafficking awareness evening!

Tomorrow evening in the KV Superstore Community room from 6-8.

It is absolutely happening in our very own back yard and we are coming together as a community to bring awareness to you.

Any questions please let us know!

Human Trafficking Awareness & Community Safety Night

April 14, 2026
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Superstore Community Room
115 Campbell Drive, Rothesay, NB

Loblaws, the Real Atlantic Superstore (Rothesay), the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, Crime Stoppers, and KV Oasis Youth & Family Support Services have partnered together to bring the community an important evening focused on human trafficking awareness, prevention, and support.

This event will feature survivor Roxanne McCarthy, who will share her lived experience and insight into how human trafficking can occur much closer to home than many people realize.

Human trafficking is not always about someone being taken or abducted.

It can occur within relationships, through coercion, control, violence, and can happen right here in our own communities — often alongside domestic and intimate partner violence.

During the evening you will:
-Hear Roxanne’s powerful story and perspective as a survivor
-Learn about a new program being launched by Loblaws to support women and young girls affected by human trafficking and domestic violence
-Hear from the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force on how to recognize warning signs and keep those you love safe
-Learn what human trafficking can look like locally and what to watch for
-Loblaws will be providing refreshments and light snacks.

This is an important community conversation you won’t want to miss.

Together, we can raise awareness, support survivors, and work toward ending violence against women, youth, and vulnerable members of our community

a reminder to contact Sarah if you would like to schedule free tutoring time tomorrow!

We’re excited to introduce a second tutoring program on Monday evenings (6:30–8:00 PM), designed a little differently to support students who may need extra one-on-one help.

This program will include support from experienced volunteers such as a retired math teacher and a university student, offering a strong mix of experience and relatable learning.

How this one is different:
• By appointment only (more focused, one-on-one support)
• Online/Zoom option available for students without transportation
• Tailored sessions based on individual student needs

Our Wednesday student-led tutoring is NOT going anywhere. It will continue as our drop-in, peer-supported option!

This new Monday program is simply another way we’re trying to meet students where they’re at and provide the support they need to succeed. We were thrilled to be approached by volunteers looking to help.

Do you have experience in tutoring and are looking for a way to volunteer and give back?
Reach out to Sarah to see if this could be a fit for you!
