A huge thank you to Dean Mercer, Pharmacy Manager at Sobeys in Rothesay for his incredible commitment to his community. Dean ran over 100 kilometers from 2am to 2pm on Saturday to raise funds for our Foodbasket. He raised a total of $5724.30 from sponsorships!!
Also thanks to Heather Tait and her Staff at Sobeys for hosting a BBQ and Food Drive at the store. Donations from the BBQ were over $1300, and over 1100 pounds of food was donated by our caring community members. Thanks to the KV Regional Police for providing the Cruiser which was crammed with for donations, and also to Oldies 96.1 for having their cruiser on site with tunes and give aways. Overall a huge success!! Thank you to all involved! Just one more example of the awesome community that we live in.
