Our U17 team had a great weekend of basketball as well. Finishing 2nd in Tier 2 provincials this weekend up in Salisbury losing a close finals. Player of the tournament goes to Sam Olesen averaging over 30 points per game.

Players stepped up all weekend into new roles, getting better and putting in the work.

Our U16 Blue Storm team captures the bronze in the Tier 2 provincial championships. A great weekend of players evolving their game into new roles and getting better!

Players of the game for the weekend were: Colby Page, Gabe Valentine, Brayden Samson and Cohen Campbell.

Our Blue Storm teams are participating in U18 and U16 age class in Tier 2 for both divisions.

Our U18 team is in Salisbury/Petitcodiac this weekend. In their two games, they went 2-0 winning by 1 and by 8 making it to the finals at 4 pm at Salisbury High.

Our U16 team is in Miramichi going 1-1 losing a 2 point game after being down big. They play in the crossover for a chance at the final.

Both teams are seeing tremendous growth this weekend with players stepping into new roles thriving and learning.

Last week, we wrapped up our Blue Storm Summer program with our Summer League.

In the third place game, Team Crowley took home the victory over Team Pollard.

Player of the game for Team Crowley was Cam Rice

In the finals, it was a tightly contested affair with Team Davis taking the lead into the final frame against Team Holder. With a scorching 4th quarter performance by Jacob Dekel, Team Holder took the win 74-70, making Team Holder a back to back champion.

Jacob Dekel also was awarded our Summer League MVP averaging 21.4 points per game and 12.6 rebounds per game.

This concludes Blue Storm for the 2025 year. With a total of 39 different kids showing up to get better this summer, it was another successful year! Thank you to all that continue to show up to get better and push each other to get better!

In our Semi Finals action,

We saw the 1 seed Team Holder face off against Team Crowley/Vaughan. In a back and forth game, Team Vaughan looked like they were going to provide the upset, however, Team Holder held on for a 75-64 win.

Player of the game for Team Holder was Jacob Dekel
Player of the game for Team Crowley/Vaughan was Max Blucher.

In game 2 of the night, we saw Team Davis face the 3 seed Team Pollard. Team Davis came out with a hot start gaining a big lead early, however, Team Pollard didn't go away and chipping it to a nine point game at the end of the third. Team Davis held on for a 80-59 win.

This sets up the 3rd place game on Wednesday night between Team Crowley/Vaughan vs Team Pollard

The Blue Storm U17 took home the first annual Honeyfest Championship up in Sackville. The Blue Storm took wins over Cole Harbour, Sackville, Cape Breton and Preston Elite. The tournament MVP goes to Heath Harris.

Our U18 Blue Storm teams hosted the Age Class Provincials this past weekend at KV High. The two teams had a great weekend of competitive basketball games in the round robin with lots of learnings and lessons. They ended up playing each other in a great consolation matchup. Thank you to the parents for helping run the tournament along with helping out with scorekeeping duties.

Our U16 Blue Storm team travelled up to Canterbury for Age Class Provincials, the boys came away with a 2-2 record, ending 5th out of 7 teams. Thank you to the parents for driving the players and making sure they were there on time.

Our Blue Storm program now takes a bit of a break for April & May and will kick back off in May with twice a week sessions. Stay tuned for this page as we will provide an update on when it'll be back.
