Our Story

We are an independent BPSA traditional scouting group in Quesnel, British Columbia. Our group was chartered in 2017 and provides youth in our community access to the world’s largest youth movement founded by Lord Baden-Powell over 100 years ago.

We are not associated with Scouts Canada, but the original scouting programs developed by Baden-Powell are at the core of what we do. 1st Baker Creek is a family made up of Timber Wolves who live in the world of the Jungle, lead by Akela, Baloo & Bagheera. Timber Wolves can start as early as 7.5 years old. At the age of 11, a Leaping Wolf can return to the world of humans and join the adventures of the Explorer Troop. The Troop is youth led using the patrol system.
