When Early Learning Café is just too much fun to leave behind!

We love seeing the learning, creativity, and imaginative play continue at home. Want to join in on the fun? Early Learning Café is back on Thursday, October 29! This month, we’ll be talking about Media Literacy & Screen Time while families enjoy a relaxed morning of play, learning, and connection.

Thanks to our friends at the Morrin Centre, all current and new families will also receive a complimentary one-year family membership!

We love having Gen Z on our team! 😂 One minute we're talking literacy, the next we're explaining what a phone book is.

At QCRC, learning happens across generations. Sometimes it's a new skill, sometimes it's a little history lesson!

Tell us, who remembers using a phone book? 👀

Another successful Fall Fest in the books! 🍂

We had such a great time connecting with the community, and our very first QCRC Craft Bar was a huge hit! So many little creators stopped by to get crafty, and we loved every minute of it. A big thank you to Voice of English-speaking Quebec for creating this space each year for organizations, services, and community members to connect.

Until next year! 💛

💙 It’s Health Literacy Month!

Did you know health literacy is about more than understanding health information? It’s also about knowing where to find help and feeling confident navigating the healthcare system.

If you’re a newcomer or find Quebec’s healthcare system a little tricky to navigate, check out the Health Passport App developed by Voice of English-speaking Quebec and the Community Health and Social Service Network. It can help you find resources, prepare for healthcare visits, and learn helpful French words and phrases for communicating with healthcare providers.

Today we honour, learn, and reflect.

At QCRC, learning is at the heart of what we do, and that’s why recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30th is so important to us.

Today, we wear orange to honour residential school survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and acknowledge the lasting impacts of residential schools on Indigenous communities. Learning this history matters. The more we learn and understand our shared history, the more we can listen, reflect, and take meaningful steps toward reconciliation.

Let’s keep learning not just today, but as part of our ongoing journey toward truth and reconciliation. Click on the link below to learn more.❤
