RDN tient à féliciter Madame la Députée Marie-Claude Sarrazin pour sa nomination en tant que ministre de la Justice et procureure générale du Québec ainsi que ministre responsable des Affaires intergouvernementales canadiennes, des Relations avec les Québécois d'expression anglaise, de la Lutte contre le racisme, de la Lutte contre la discrimination envers les personnes LGBTQ+, de l’Accès à l’information et de la Protection des renseignements personnels ainsi que de la Laïcité.

The Comité sectoriel de main-d'oeuvre - Économie sociale / Action communautaire interviewed Tanya Bolduc, the communications manager at the Centre for Access to Services in English (Case-Mcq), one of our member organizations. CASE serves the English-speaking community of Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec, and Tanya shared about her experience working in the social economy and community action sector. This video is a part of the CSMO-ÉSAC's Your Values, Your Career, Your Impact campaign to raise awareness about careers that make a positive difference in our communities. 💛

We agree with TALQ - formerly QCGN’s request for a dedicated minister for the English-speaking community of Québec.

TALQ is calling for a dedicated minister responsible for relations with English-speaking Quebecers, supported by a strengthened Secretariat directly within the Ministère du Conseil exécutif.

Having a minister at the heart of government ensures our community’s concerns are heard, coordinated across government, and translated into concrete action.

RDN was pleased to welcome Sarah Boily, Director General of the Official Languages Branch at Canadian Heritage, and Josée Grimard-Dubuc, Regional Director for the Québec Region for Canadian Heritage, to our office today. As part of our ongoing discussions, we explored regional priorities for the upcoming federal Action Plan for Official Languages and the restructuring of official languages programming in Québec.
