Meet Hira, the face behind our e-bulletins! Hira holds a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is a Certified Canadian Counsellor and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with CRPO.

The Justine Harris Award for Excellence in Counselling was established:

• To promote professional initiative and leadership in the provision and delivery of services in the diverse situations that our members perform

• To applaud new and creative efforts to meet the ever-changing needs of the counsellor’s work environment

• To recognize a counsellor’s demonstrated commitment to excellence and high professional integrity

• To draw an employer’s attention to the high esteem in which his/her professional colleagues hold their employee

• To heighten awareness within the community at large of the counsellor’s role in a wide variety of work environments

Le Prix Justine Harris pour l’excellence en counseling a été créé afin de :

• Promouvoir l’initiative professionnelle et le leadership dans la prestation et l’offre de services dans la diversité des contextes où exercent nos membres.

• Souligner les efforts novateurs et créatifs visant à répondre aux besoins en constante évolution du milieu de travail des conseillères et conseillers.

This April is Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy month, so let’s feature our current board president, Sarah Lemme Sarah Lemme in our Meet the board series! Her experience spans across various settings, including the CLSC, readaptation centers, summer camps, and more, providing her with valuable insights into assisting individuals of all ages and from various walks of life.

Cabane Panache with QCA

Hey friends~~ We want to plan a fun day out on Wellington for a day of sugar shacking with new friends!!! The website promises music, food, dancing and loads of maple syrup drizzled goods. We’ll walk, get to know one another and enjoy the festival, then we’ll maybe end up somewhere and have a meal and/or a nice hot drink to end the day.
