On this day in 1920, a 21-year-old WWI veteran named Hal Rogers gathered a small group in Hamilton, Ontario, to spark something truly special: the first ever Kin Canada Club.
Having deeply missed the camaraderie of service, Hal created a place where young people could forge lasting friendships, strengthen their communities, apply their skills to help others, and grow into impactful community leaders.
106 years later, that original spark has spread nationwide. Today, Kin Canada boasts over 350 clubs and more than 4,500 dedicated volunteer members across the country.
Over the past century+, our volunteers have invested over $1 billion - and countless volunteer hours - into Canadian communities, making a real difference from coast to coast.
Today, we celebrate Founders' Day by honoring our past, celebrating our present, and looking forward to even more impact ahead.
Happy Founders' Day to every Kin who keeps Hal's vision alive! 🇨🇦
