#RupertRecycles: Going Green
The #RupertRecycles movement and Kaien Island Recycling were born out of a desire to help people in a meaningful way. In a perfect combination of working to keep our city, and environment, clean and helping other residents do the same, we decided on this business venture!
The goal of #RupertRecycles is to bring zero-waste, green living and positive environment habits to the lifestyles of as many Rupertites as we can. We are starting this mission by offering a residential pick-up service for recyclables. 50% of all refunds from recyclables goes directly into launching another beneficial local service, with the remaining 50% going straight to a local or Canadian charity.
We share guides and tips on how to live a greener life in 2020, and how to truly make an environmental impact on your own. Part of our method for doing this is meticulous tracking and measurements throughout our collection services. We are rigorously monitoring all waste that we process, and will release statistics and figures that show off the amount of waste we are saving from entering landfills and other improper disposal locations.
