You know that feeling when you pick something up in our store and think,
“I remember these.”
A mug like the one your grandma had.
A jacket that’s already seen a few good winters… and still has more in it.
That’s the kind of recycling we see every single day.
On Global Recycling Day, people think about blue bins and sorting paper.
But here at the Prince George Hospice Thrift Store… we see something a little different.
We see reuse in action.
Donations coming through our doors that still have life left in them.
Volunteers carefully sorting, pricing, and putting items back out into the community.
Neighbours finding something they need — or didn’t know they needed — and giving it a second chance.
That’s not just recycling. That’s community.
And here’s what makes it ours… 💛
Every item you donate…
Every item you take home…
…helps support hospice care right here in Prince George.
It helps families during some of life’s hardest moments.
It keeps care local. Personal. Human.
So today, before something heads for the bin…
bring it by.
Because around here, recycling doesn’t just reduce waste.
It turns everyday things into care, comfort, and connection.
💛
