Non-profit community service organization, whose members are volunteer business professionals dedicated to serving the children of the world.

We're always looking for new members, so if you'd like to come to one of our meetings, socials or community service initiatives, please message us! Kiwanis Prince George is part of a global organization dedicated to serving the children of the world and improving our community of Prince George. Kiwanis (meaning “we trade” or “we share our talents”) is a non-profit volunteer community service organization with a long history since its founding in Prince George in 1954. The 30+ members of working and retired business professionals meet twice monthly on Wednesdays from 12noon-1pm at the Twisted Cork Restaurant. We also hold fun socials events, fundraisers and take on community service initiatives. Over the years, Kiwanis has held a number of fundraisers to benefit charities and legacy projects such as golf tournaments, bingos and community dinners. We've also built the Kiwanis Bandshell in Fort George Park, Kiwanis Picnic Area in Cottonwood Island Park and the Kiwanis Resource Centre in downtown Prince George. The local club is going through a youth-oriented rejuvenation hosting new social events and annual fundraisers such as our Kiwanis at Canada Day in the Park and Kiwanis AleFest craft b**r tasting festival. Kiwanis Prince George is part of Kiwanis International founded in 1915 by business professionals and now represents nearly 600,000 members worldwide. Kiwanis is one of the "big three" global community service organizations, the others being Rotary and Lions. While all three are service-oriented, each has a different approach, focus and culture. Looking for local grant funding? Check out the 2026 Fall Grants Tradeshow, this Thursday at the Civic Centre!

Kiwanis PG will be there with many other local grant funders to chat about all of the different programs and funding opportunities available. Plus, enjoy coffee and refreshments, and enter to win a door prize of up to $2 grand, in undesignated grant funds for your organization (must be a non-profit or registered charity).

Thank you to all of our members for coming out to lunch yesterday, and a huge thank you to Rachelle from Sunset Studio for speaking to our group! Rachelle shared with our group her origin story as a business owner, how her business made it through COVID, their partnerships with other businesses and organizations in the community, and what it's like being a business owner in Prince George.

Thanks also to the Twisted Cork for a delicious pasta lunch buffet.

An informal dinner and social event at the Alpine Pub to welcome our new board of directors for the 2026 / 2027 year. All are welcome.

Interested in learning about Kiwanis Prince George? Join us at Deadfall Brewing for an introduction to the Kiwanis Club of Prince George, and enjoy networking and socialization over craft b**rs (first one on us!). Come and meet our members, learn what we're all about!

The Kiwanis Club of Prince George is a local club of business professionals who enjoy networking and giving back to their community. We hold meetings, social events, and participate in volunteer activities throughout the community including our annual Kiwanis Alefest fundraiser.

No fee or registration required to attend this event - just come on down to Deadfall between 5 and 6:30pm on September 15th to see what it's all about (first b**r is on us)!

Thanks to everyone who made it out to our lunch on Wednesday! We had our own Holly Keech talk about her role with Thewebc , and how WeBC helps women entrepreneurs in our region. It was great to see everyone back after summer break, and we're looking forward to more events coming up this fall!

We've opened up another round of funding this fall for our 2026 Grant Applications!

The Kiwanis Club of Prince George’s Grant Program is designed to support local non-profit organizations in creating equitable access to experiences for children/youth, with priorities to overcome socioeconomic or other barriers, and to support existing programs and services in Prince George.

● Amount available: Up to $5,000
● Deadline for submission: October 23, 2026
● Awards announcement: November 17, 2026

Last week we had the privilege of handing out grant funds to these incredible local organizations doing meaningful work for children and youth in our community.

🐺 UNBC Timberwolves – Run as One youth program, bringing basketball and soccer skills development to school-aged kids across School District 57, led by Timberwolves student-athletes who are making a real difference as role models in our community.

🎃 Huble Homestead Historic Site – The Halloween Spooktacular, a beloved family-friendly autumn event held at the Huble Homestead Historic Site that brings pumpkin carving, magic shows, and loads of Halloween fun to kids and families each year.

🚵 Intersect Youth & Family Services Society and Family Services – Youth development programs including their Switchback Mountain Bike Program and Supporting Spirit community collaboration, both focused on building life skills, resilience, and connection through sport and culture.

🤝 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC – Group mentoring programs that connect young people with caring volunteer role models through shared activities and experiences.
