B.C. Old Time Fiddler's Association, Branch #1 - Prince George

Here are some pics of our first Old Time Fiddle dance of this new season. The Brunswich dance floor was packed till around 10:30 pm. The evening started off with Shawnees' new fiddle students performing old classic tunes. The Girl Band came up next. Highlights were lots of folks, big smiles on their faces filling the floor. Elizabeth reminded all of the steps to dances like the Patty Cake Polka, Seventh Step and The Butterfly. Michelle added in some good old time vocals. Next band was the Matte family. They kept the dance floor hopping with their snappy, well chosen tunes. Last but not least was Shawnees friend and family band. Their set was a feast for the ears with beautiful medley transitions, a great variety of fast and slow melodies and so much more ! Thanks go to our steadfast backup players including guitar, bass, keyboard and banjo players.

Michelle, Shawnee, Beth and Elizabeth are 4 pillars of strength who made last weekend's Fiddle Jamboree a success and who bring the music to our community with passion, commitment, joy and hard work.

From just showing up every week to practice to cooking and washing dishes after Jamboree meals, these 4 women are the reason for the music and connection that is so important us all.

On behalf of the Old Time Fiddler's Association, thank you Shawnee, Elizabeth, Beth and Michelle. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
