RYLA North 2015

RYLA North 2015 RYLA North is a leadership camp connecting young adults ages 19-30 to community and business leaders, leadership workshops and skill building training.

RYLA is a Rotary leadership program coordinated by clubs around the world and is one of the most significant and growing programs in Rotary service. RYLA was adopted by Rotary in 1971 and annually supports thousands of youth worldwide between the ages of 13 and 30. Participants are sponsored by Rotary to attend the event, providing opportunities to gain life-long skills and experiences during work

shops, presentations and professional and peer-to-peer networking. RYLA’s training curriculum aims to publicly recognize youth who are rendering service to their communities and focuses on leadership skills and team building, by providing an effective training experience for selected participants and potential leaders, while encouraging leadership of youth by youth. Core keynote presentation topics and workshops will cover the following:
Fundamentals of leadership
Ethics of positive leadership
Importance of communication skills in effective leadership
Problem-solving and conflict management
Rotary's purpose and service to the community
Building self-confidence and self-esteem
Elements of community and global citizenship

On top of the training curriculum, the camp will include cabins with full amenities; daily meals and snacks; your choice of planned events, including outdoor zip-lines, jungle swing, indoor rock climbing, or canoeing; a games room; nighttime campfires; and, an amazing outdoor camp environment to explore that is surrounded by beautiful northern BC forest and a pristine lake.
