Huge congratulations to the Community Arts Council of Prince George and District, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 41st Business Excellence Awards this past weekend! 🏆

The Community Arts Council has helped arts and culture flourish in our city for decades. Since 1968, they've been a creative home for local artists through Studio 2880, Studio Fair, workshops, performances and so much more, helping make sure everyone in our community has a chance to experience and enjoy the arts. 🖌️🎶

This award is well deserved. We're so glad that the community and Chamber recognized the incredible work the Arts Council does to bring people together and keep creativity thriving in Prince George. From the artists and volunteers to the staff and board, thank you for everything you do to make PG a more vibrant place to live. Here's to many more years of art, music and community!

We were thrilled to see this year's Lifetime Achievement Award at the 41st Business Excellence Awards this past weekend go to Anne Laughlin & Ted Price of Miracle Theatre

🎭 Anne and Ted of Miracle Theatre have been dear friends of the Prince George Community Foundation for years, bringing professional productions to Prince George that have raised over $1 million for local causes. Many of those shows have created lasting community support right here at the PGCF. Their 2019 production of Halfway There launched the Children of Prince George Fund. On Golden Pond raised money for an endowment fund supporting the Prince George Hospice and Palliative Care Society. And their 30th-anniversary double-header in 2025 created the Seniors Emergency Endowment Fund, which supports our local seniors. We can't think of a better legacy!

Congratulations!

We recently had the opportunity to visit the team at the Downtown Prince George Business Improvement Association and of course, meet Lucy, their adorable office dog! 🐾

The Downtown BIA was a recipient of a 2024 PG & Region Prosperity Fund grant to support its downtown safety and cleanliness program. Through partnerships with the Drug Awareness Recovery Team (DART), the Prince George Brain Injury Group (PGBIG), and ACME Janitorial, the program provides meaningful employment opportunities for vulnerable community members while helping keep our downtown clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

We're proud to support initiatives that strengthen both our community and the people who call it home. 💙
