Summer learning is in full swing at Nusdeh Yoh and it looks a little different than your average camp! 🌿
This summer, Nusdeh Yoh is hosting two-week camps for about 65 students. Camp mornings are spent on land-based learning, including hikes at Moore's Meadows and Eskers, plus a new math component that connects real-world concepts to nature. Afternoons include swimming or riding at the community’s skate park.
We're especially proud to have former Nusdeh Yoh students, now in secondary school, return as peer mentors. 🫂
Led by Community School Coordinator Alison Thibodeau and supported by grants from Right To Play and the BC government's Civil Forfeiture Fund, the camp is free and open to all students.
It's the kind of summer they'll never forget. 💫
