We ❤️ our life-changing coaches 👏

In National Coaches Week 2026 (September 14 to 20), we’ll be celebrating the deep impact, skills, and commitment of Special Olympics BC coaches across the province! With all our hearts, for the gift of your time and talents to enrich the lives of athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the power and joy of sport.

National Coaches Week celebrations include:

➡️ Win a coffee for your coach ☕ Current Special Olympics BC athletes and fellow coaches are invited to nominate a coach who has made a positive impact through their leadership, support, and dedication! At the end of National Coaches Week, nominated coaches will receive a gift card to celebrate and thank them for their impact.

➡️ Free and discounted courses for coaches 🏅 During National Coaches Week, coaches can diversify their coaching knowledge with free or discounted NCCP education through the Coaching Association of Canada!

➡️ Find all the details, as well as stories about inspiring Special Olympics BC coaches: https://www.specialolympics.bc.ca/what-we-do/national-coaches-week/

“It is something that you look forward to each and every week, and something that I hope to continue to do for years to come. Whenever people ask about my involvement with Special Olympics, I always encourage them to attend or participate in our programs. It is some of the most fun that you will have in your life, and the relationships that you make within the community are truly special.” -Coach Noah Musgrave, SOBC Coquitlam
